Good questions. Clear answers.

A few things to know before your first word.

Is WordAI really free?

Yes. WordAI is committed to staying free forever, with no ads or paid membership. Online AI features have generous usage limits to keep the service available to everyone.

What can I look up?

Everyday English, phrases, slang and specialist terms. WordAI brings meanings, examples and related vocabulary together, and you can ask follow-up questions on a word’s detail page. AI explanations can make mistakes; check an authoritative source when accuracy matters.

Can I learn offline?

Yes. Download a 10,000- or 20,000-entry dictionary pack in the app to read stored definitions and examples without a connection. Saved learning content and cached pronunciation can also be used offline. New AI answers require internet access.

Which languages does it support?

WordAI supports English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. It is designed to help you understand English vocabulary in the language you feel most comfortable reading.

Where is the open-source code?

The WordAI Community edition is available on GitHub under Apache 2.0. It includes the local vocabulary-learning and flashcard core. The App Store app’s hosted AI, accounts, cloud sync and licensed dictionary or audio packs are separate and are not included in that repository.
